German Speaking Tour Leader
Job Summary
We are seeking qualified, dynamic and experienced German speaking tour leaders and adventure tour guides to guide trips in East Canada for the summer 2018.
Applicants must enjoy outdoors, possess an adventurous spirit, strong leadership and the capacity to manage multiple projects and always look for new challenges. Languages required: speak English and German.
The key to your successful integration is adaptability and being a quick learner. Your enthusiasm and curiosity in the performance of your duties, as well as a quick grasp of the tools placed at your disposal, will get you anchored in no time.

Requirements
- Bilingual German / English speaker
- Be 21 years old or older
- Have a valid class 4B driver's license or equivalent
- Have a valid first aid training certification (16 hrs minimum)
- Have a valid CPR certification
Job type: 3 to 5 tours from June to September (Seasonal)

Tour Guide / Tour Translator
Maritime Travel operates a company called Atlantic Cruise Ship Services which provides shore excursions for cruise lines that come in to our ports in Halifax and Sydney, NS.
We are looking for people who are fluent in German to act as a guide or interpreter over the cruise season which runs from mid-April to the end of October. This person would work with the German Cruise Lines that visit the ports during the cruise season. Following are the qualifications we are looking for:
Tour Guide Qualifications;
• Friendly, pleasant and caring disposition towards guests.
• Lively and enthusiastic in their commentary.
• Detailed knowledge of the history, culture and other pertinent facts about the country and places visited.
• Able to lead a group of people gracefully but firmly, and steer any unexpected situation back on track with a sense of control.
• Good interpersonal relations and able to work in a team.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• To be able to organize themselves and others.
• To be responsible, honest and reliable.
Tour Translator Qualifications;
